Sugar House Community Garden needs to find a new home! The City would like to sell the lot we are on after the 2013 growing season. If you know of an appropriate and available space, please let us know!

We are looking for a large space with full sun and water.

What is a Community Garden?

A community garden is a shared garden space. Garden members are responsible for planting, watering and maintaining their assigned plot. Most garden members grow food for their families.

Sugar House Community Garden
is located at 2225 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Sugar House Community Garden is incorporated as a nonprofit in the state of Utah.
The garden is a raised bed garden placed directly on the cement tennis courts. Lowe’s Home Improvement stores sponsored our first 46 beds, and 30 have been built with gardener funds. In May of 2012 Sugar House Community Garden was awarded a grant from Wasatch Community Gardens to build an additional 20 plots, bringing the total number of full-size plots to 96!  All of the beds were quickly rented out for the 2012 growing season.
Photos of the Build and the garden can be found on our Facebook page.
